#MythologyMonday #MutantsAndMasterminds: Oya

Oya, mighty orisha of storm and death, wife of Shango, lady of the Niger River.

Fear her power, revere her strength.

It is not known whether this is the actual orisha, but she certainly has the powers one might expect, and is one of the most powerful metahumans on Earth, in the World That Needs Heroes. She hails from Nigeria, specifically from the Igbo people, and is seen by some as at least as an incarnation of the original goddess.

She has become part of Dr. Umbros' Acolytes of Apotheosis. Believing herself a goddess, why would she not think herself better than mortals?

Hero? Villain? Something else? Hard to say. Does one dare to judge a goddess?

Tall, black, beautiful, powerful, mercurial as the storm.
