Cath Palug (Isles of the Mighty)

The cath palug is a giant panther, 15 feet long (not counting the tail) and 6 feet at the shoulder. It is both scaled and furred, and has gills at its throat. In Celtic myth it was born from a prophetic white sow and thrown into the sea, then grew into a monster fought by either Sir Kay or King Arthur after killing many men. This version is a Fomorian monster, a fey creature that is part of their demonic host.
