Chaaruvi Virani, sometimes called Chavi, is a young Hindu girl of Gujarati descent, living in the US. She's also either the avatar of Agni, god of fire, or his child, or both. If his child, well, she's also still her earthly father's child, because Agni made *him* an avatar for the purpose.

She's a study in contradictions.  She wears traditional dress and is devout and obedient to parents and culture. She has studied dance and acrobatics. On the other hand, she's also a *radical* skater, and was gifted a magic skateboard by Agni in recognition of that fact.
