Musa Tafida was born and raised in the Hausa town of Biu in Northeastern Nigeria, in the Borno state region.When his family and community were devastated by bandits, possibly associated with Boko Haram , he swore vengeance. A devout Muslim himself, he joined the Nigerian Army and trained extensively in theirSpecial Forces branch before being selected for a top secret super soldier program. Now, he operates on detached duty with the Protectors as Deathmark, and takes his vengeance on the lawless killers of his nationwith bullet and fist. He will take prisoners and arrest people, but at heart he is a soldier, and he certainly does not have a no kill rule. Many foes will surrender simply because they hear he is on his way.
